Open Enrollment

This is a reminder that open enrollment for CTA Dental and Vision programs, administered by the CTA Benefit Trust, runs from June 1st through September 30th.  Any changes you would like to make to your dental or vision coverage will be accepted only during that time period.  The effective date of these changes will be July 1st (requests received after July 1st will be effective September 1st ).

The CTA Benefit Trust’s fiscal year runs from July 1st to June 30th.  Therefore, our open enrollment period is different from the open enrollment period for benefits handled by the Business Office and other employers.

The only changes accepted from October 1st through May 31st  will be those triggered by a qualifying event. Examples of qualifying events are:

bulletmarriage,
bulletbirth or adoption,
bulletdivorce, legal separation or annulment of marriage,
bulletdeath of a spouse or dependent,
bulletchange in an employee’s, spouse’s or dependent’s employment status that affects eligibility under their existing plan.
