Currently the CTA Benefit Trust is only set up to offer dental coverage to retirees. This coverage is offered through COBRA which extends your existing coverage for up to 18 months. The rates for this plan fluctuate from year to year depending on the number of people participating.
Many recent retirees have opted to get their dental coverage through NYSUT's Retiree Plan. I encourage you to investigate this option before choosing to COBRA with the CTA Benefit Trust.
